What if there was a magic formula to accomplish whatever we wish for, worldly or spiritual?
Buddha taught one, and he called it the Five Forces.
With a strong motivation, familiarity, lots of merit, removal of obstacles, and strategic prayer we can bring about deeply and lasting spiritual experience into our mind. With this formula we learn how all our practices fit together, and so rather than having a bunch of unrelated practices, we have a unified whole—a movement in the direction of positive spiritual change. For this reason Je Tsongkhapa called the Five Force “the essence of all Dharmas”, and Geshela says that among all Mahayana practices, the Five Forces are supreme.
