Samudrabadra Buddhist Center is located in Fort Myers, near Edison College. There is a peaceful meditation room, bookstore, modern sitting area and a tea/coffee bar called ‘The World Peace Cafe.” The Buddhist Center offers a wide-ranging program of meditation classes, retreats, and half-day courses.
Samudrabadra Center is a Kadampa Buddhist Center, founded by world renowned meditation master, teacher, and author, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
“Samudrabadra” is Geshe Kelsang’s Gyatso’s name in Sanskrit. It means an “Ocean of Good Fortune.” It is one of the only Centers in the world that Geshe Kelsang named after himself. A very auspicious name!
