How to Bring a Pure and Positive Reality into Being
Mandala Offerings Retreat
Friday and Saturday, March 23rd and 24th, 2018
All sessions held at:
Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center
6338 Presidential Court, Suite 105, Fort Myers, FL
Creating things is not so hard; all we have to do is imagine something that could in theory exist and then hold this belief as long as possible. Eventually it will appear directly to our mind.
In this retreat we imagine a pure universe filled with pure beings, and we offer this up to our Spiritual Guide who is the embodiment of all enlightened beings. This creates an abundance of merit—or good fortune—within our mind, which makes it easy to fulfill our wishes. By imagining the this universe becomes pure and that all beings become pure and happy, we create the cause to abide in such a world, and by offering this pure universe to our spiritual guide we create the cause to have beautiful spiritual conditions and realizations grow within us. This retreat is highly creative and powerful in fulfilling our spiritual wishes—it gives us vision for an enlightened future, and purifies the impure appearances and delusions within us. It creates the cause for us to be reborn in the Pure Land, and is also a special method for improving our concentration.
This retreat is suitable for beginners who wish to learn a new and powerful practice and for those with more experience. It is practical in overcoming our daily problems and it is a method for ensuring Mahamudra realizations will grow easily in our mind. If someone wants to collect 100,000 mandala offerings, this retreat will instruct them on how to do so.
It will be guided in a light and practical way by Kelsang Chopag, monk and Resident Teacher.
