2. Foundation Program (FP) - Mondays, 7:00-9:00pm

Our study program is available for anyone interested in a more in-depth study of Buddha’s teachings. We meet on Monday nights to study Geshe Kelsang’s books in a systematic manner on the Foundation Program.

We are presently studying Universal Compassion. Based on a famous Buddhist poem, Training the Mind in Seven Points by Geshe Chekhawa, it shows how true mental freedom and lasting happiness can be achieved by transforming our mind. The fundamental insight underlying this book is that the world we experience is a reflection of our mind and so if we want to experience the world in a positive way we need to develop a positive mind.

Students have a chance to share their experiences in paired group discussion and apply authentic lineage instruction to their daily life. Eventually we reach the point where we can transform any situation, however unpleasant, into a positive experience and an opportunity to make progress in our spiritual development. For registration call (786) 269-8476 or email us at drolma@meditationinflorida.org.
